How to judge whether the steam boiler is heated unevenly?

In simple terms, the working principle of a steam boiler is to use fuel combustion to release heat energy, and then transfer the heat to the water in the boiler to generate high-temperature water vapor to provide efficient power for industrial production.

The evaporative heating surface of the steam boiler is composed of parallel tubes. The ratio of the enthalpy increase of the working medium in the individual tube circle to the overall average enthalpy increase is called thermal deviation. The thermal deviation of the steam boiler is mainly caused by the uneven heat absorption and flow of the boiler.

The following is a summary of the reasons for the uneven heating of steam boilers:

1. The heat absorption of the steam boiler is uneven
       The reason for the uneven heat absorption is closely related to the arrangement of the burner, the mode of operation and the type of fuel. In general, when the fuel types are the same, the heat load distribution of the liquid slag furnace is much larger than that of the solid slag furnace. The heat load non-uniformity of the oil-fired furnace is larger than that of the coal-fired furnace, and the thermal deviation of the vertical tube screen is larger than that of the horizontal surrounding tube screen.

       The non-uniform heat absorption of once-through steam boilers is different from that of natural circulation steam boilers. The natural circulation steam boiler has the characteristics of compensating heat, which can play the main role in reducing thermal deviation. In the evaporative heating surface of the once-through steam boiler, for the tube with more heat absorption, due to the large amount of steam generated in the tube, the capacity is large. Increase the resistance, so that the flow of the steam pipe will be reduced. Conversely, the flow of the weakly heated tube increases. Therefore, if the heat absorption of the evaporative heating surface of the once-through steam boiler is not uniform enough, it will not only cause thermal deviation, but also enlarge the thermal deviation by affecting the uneven flow.

2. The flow of the steam boiler is uneven
       The different flow resistance of the parallel pipes on the evaporation heating surface, the pressure change along the length of the distribution header, and the difference in the weight head between the pipes can cause uneven flow.

       ①The influence of flow resistance on thermal deviation. Due to the different structure, quality, length, diameter, roughness and curvature of the steam pipe, its flow resistance is also different. Under the same pressure difference, the size of the resistance will cause uneven flow.

       ② Influence of heavy indenter on thermal deviation. In the vertical rising tube panel, due to the relatively large height of the tube panel, when the parallel tubes are not uniformly heated, the density is much worse, so the influence of the heavy pressure head should be considered. When the heat load of an individual tube is high, the flow of the tube is reduced. However, due to the decrease in the density of the working medium in the tube and the decrease in the weight head, the flow rate will increase. Therefore, the weighted indenter helps reduce thermal deflection.
